I know they would do the same for me."

I’m not sure who said this quote but it’s essentially why I run. I’ve been known to lose motivation, always looking for it somewhere new. This quote keeps me going; it keeps my feet moving. However slow I may be (sometimes I swear I walk faster than I run) I know that there are people out there who would give anything to be able to do this. Well, I can. Not fast, not well, and I probably don’t look good doing it but I give it my best shot each time.

It’s been about 8 months since I attempted my first run. I remember when 30 seconds was the longest 30 seconds I could imagine. I’m proud to say that I’ve made it to one mile and I know I can do it each time. What I need now, though, is a little help in getting past that one mile. I hope to do a half marathon someday (no real intention for a full marathon) but, first, I’d like to complete a 5k running the entire time. I only need a little assistance and some words of wisdom...
-Boston StephAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211061636535667354.post-32577581443863138872011-07-04T22:21:15.058-07:002011-07-04T22:21:15.058-07:00Sure, i want either or both books! In fact, I got to page 66 of Dean Karnazes latest book the last time I was at Barnes & Noble and hope I get to finish it the next time I'm back there. I'm your reader! (Though to be honest, running an actual marathon distance isn't in my plans...ever. Maybe a half someday...So feel free to keep that in mind if a true marathoner wants one!)
runner_girl5k(at)yahoo(dot)com~K~https://www.blogger.com/profile/16200802296574563968noreply@blogger.com
